Bruce Xiaoyu Liu recognized as Honorary Fellow of the Canadian Chopin Society

Canadian pianist Bruce Liu has been recognized as an Honorary Fellow of the Canadian Chopin Society.

Previous recipients of this award have included pianists Krzysztof Jablonski and Charles Richard-Hamelin, Chopin biographer Dr. Alan Walker, and Polish historian Piotr Myslakowski.

The award was presented by Canadian Chopin Society President and Artistic Director, Dr. Janet Lopinski, at Koerner Hall following Mr. Liu’s sold-out solo recital on Sunday May 7, 2023.

The Canadian Chopin Society extends heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Liu for his significant accomplishments, most notably for winning the First Prize at the International F. Chopin Competition in Warsaw, Poland in 2021, and for his fresh, creative interpretations of the music of Chopin.
