Q: When and where will the next Canadian Chopin Piano Competition be held?
A: The Sixth Canadian Chopin Competition will be held January 9 - 13, 2025, at the Telus Centre for Performance and Learning (The Royal Conservatory) in Toronto, Ontario.
Q: Who will be participating in the competition?
A: There are three divisions in the Sixth Canadian Competition: Junior, Intermediate, and Senior. 108 competitors were accepted into the Virtual Preliminary round. 36 competitors were accepted into the in-person rounds.

Q: Who will be the jury for the competition?
A: The jury of the Sixth Canadian Chopin Piano Competition is Krzysztof Jablonski (Chair), Magdalena Baczewska, Jane Coop, Ian Hobson, Avan Yu, Alexander Kobrin (Virtual Preliminary Round only), and Ewa Poblocka (Virtual Preliminary Round only).

For competitors:
Q: What are the repertoire requirements?
A: For all three divisions, the repertoire consists entirely of works by Fryderyk Chopin. Details are available in the Rules and Regulations. Competitors who wish to alter their programs must email competition@canadianchopinsociety.ca before December 1st, 2024.

Q: Will practice rooms be available during the competition?
A: Limited practice rooms will be available at the Royal Conservatory of Music during the competition. Details will be available soon.

Q: Where can competitors stay during the competition?
A: The Royal Sonesta is our hospitality partner, and is offering rooms at a discount for competitors who book before December 16th. Competitors should have received an email with the booking code. Contact competition@canadianchopinsociety.ca for more details.

Q: What events are open seating? What events require tickets?
A: The Finals and the Winners Gala are ticketed events, but all other events are open seating. More details will be available soon.
