REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS

JUNIOR DIVISION 

Any solo piano work(s) by Chopin, not to exceed a time limit of 12 minutes.

The same repertoire will be performed in the semi-final and final rounds. 

 

INTERMEDIATE DIVISION

One etude, one nocturne, and one additional solo work by Chopin (entire program not to exceed 22 minutes in total). 

The same repertoire will be performed in the semi-final and final rounds. 

 

SENIOR DIVISION

Semi-Finals

 

One of the following full sets of Mazurkas:

op. 50

op. 59

 

One of the following Sonatas*:

Sonata in B flat minor, op. 35 or

Sonata in B minor, op. 58
*The exposition in the first movement of both Sonatas should not be repeated.

 

Finals 

 

One of the following concertos, to be performed with string quartet:

Concerto in E minor op. 11                     

Concerto in F minor op. 21

Polonaise-Fantasy, op. 61
