Born in 2015, Stephanie Yueyou Liu, is currently attending Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Vancouver. Stephanie started piano lessons with Ms. Cindy Liu and Dr. Sun Sung Kong at KL Piano Academy at the age of 4. Since the commencement of her music journey, she has won many awards and gained many memorable accomplishments, whether it's from local, national, or international music competitions.
Stephanie's musical accomplishments include:
- First Place at the 65th Canadian Music Competition in Age 7 Category
- Finalist in 31st International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth
- Gold Prize at the Liszt Hungary International Music Competition
- Awarded for the 2021 Canadian Young Artist Standards of Excellence
- First Place at the Crescendo International Music Competition
- First Prize in all 3 of performing categories of Kiwanis Festival, obtaining the overall award and Provincial Festival nomination
- First Place in the 8-year old age group piano category for Vancouver International Music Festival.
In March 2024, Stephanie was honored to be invited to perform in the Inaugural Chopin Marathon held by the Vancouver Chopin Society and Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Vancouver to celebrate the birthday of Frederic Chopin. In June 2024, Stephanie made her orchestral debut with the West Coast Symphony Orchestra. In the start of fall 2024, Stephanie held her first charity piano concert in support of Canadian Cancer Society and Covenant House in Vancouver, raising $3500 in total.
Stephanie has attended master classes with distinguished pianists and professors, including but not limited to Professor Jerome Lowenthal, Professor Lee Kum-Sing, and Professor Wolfgang Manz.
With a diverse range of interests such as figure skating, composing, science, and singing in choir, Stephanie, with an impeccable music talent, will continue to pursue her dedication towards reaching a higher stance of artistic growth.
