Jason was born on May 22, 2014, in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. He is known throughout The Yike Academy of Music as one of the famous pianists. He is a genius.
When Jason was 1.5 years old, he could beat the rhythm with his hands and feet while listening to the music; when he was 2 years old, he could dance to the rhythm of the violin at home. After discovering these characteristics of Jason, their parents decided to let their child learn music.
When Jason was 5 years old, his parents asked him what instrument he wanted to learn, and Jason blurted out that he wanted to learn piano, as such, his parents took him to Richmond Hill to find a piano teacher. After making an appointment with two piano teachers, Jason chose teacher Yan Yang without hesitation, she is the mother of pianist Yike (Tony) Yang and an outstanding piano enlightenment teacher.
Jason has made great progress in piano learning in the past two years, especially in his understanding of Chopin's music. He often attends the master class of pianist Yike (Tony) Yang and has a deep understanding and sublimation of Chopin's nocturnes and impromptu. In the 2023 Toronto Kiwanis Festival, he was awarded a level of PLATINUM in class 10135; Jason also collaborated with Lois Ai in a duet for four hands, winning the Gold Medal of the International De Musique Et D'Art De Versailles - Canada Division. This piece also won "2nd Place" in the 2024 OMFA Provincial Finals.
Jason practices piano diligently every day and especially likes Chopin's music. He can feel the nobleness, elegance, and patriotism in Chopin's music. He will keep moving forward in his piano studies in the future.
