17-year-old Jarmin Weng began his musical studies with piano at 6 and gradually expanded to include both violin and cello at ARCT levels. At 13, Jarmin completed the ARCT in piano performance with first-class honors with distinction through the Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate Program.

Jarmin's exceptional skills have been widely recognized across various piano competitions. In 2024, Jarmin achieved third place at the Dubois International Piano Competition and the Denison International Piano Competition. Then, in 2023, he achieved first place at both the Long Island International Piano Competition and the Montecatini Junior International Piano Competition. Additionally, he earned second place at the 2023 ArtePiano International Piano Competition and a silver medal at the 2022 Piano Star International Piano Competition. At the Canadian Music Competition, he secured first place in the 14-year-old category for piano in 2022. Furthermore, in 2021, he won the bronze award in the 11-13 age group at the Canada International Piano Competition. He also clinched the grand prize in his age group at the 2019 Steinway and Sons Youth Piano Competition.

Jarmin's solo performance experience is extensive, having played with orchestras on several notable occasions. His notable performances include Beethoven’s “Emperor” (5th) Concerto with the York Chamber Ensemble as well as Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G with the Kindred Spirits Orchestra. His performances have graced various prestigious venues, including Steinway Hall in New York City, Flato Markham Theatre, Cornell Recital Hall, Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, Mazzoleni Hall, Temerty Theatre, CBC Glenn Gould Studio, and Carnegie Hall.

Previously studying under Meizhi Bi and Michael Berkovsky, Jarmin is currently under the tutelage of Li Wang at the Royal Conservatory of Music.
