Grace Zhou

Junior Division

Fantasie-Impromptu in C sharp minor, Op. 66

Grace Zhou is a Grade 7 student at Grandview Heights School in Edmonton. She has been studying piano with Wolfram Linnebach since age 8. Grace was a Canadian Music Competition national finalist in piano performance in 2023. She has won various scholarships at the Edmonton Music and Speech Festival including the Nadine Thiruchelvam Piano Scholarship in 2023 and the Pamela Farmer Piano Scholarship in 2024. Grace’s second instrument is violin. She has been playing violin since age 7. As a violinist, she was the youngest finalist at the Northern Alberta Concerto Competition (intermediate strings) in 2024 and won Edmonton Recital Society Scholarship in 2023. Grace performed piano at the pre-concerts of the Summer Solstice Music Festival hosted by Edmonton Chamber Music Society in 2023, and she performed violin at the charity concert of the Alberta String Association in 2024. Outside of music, she is a competitive swimmer and loves dancing.
