Born in 2008, Charlotte Giraudeau started her music journey at five. She studies with Marilyn Engle, Professor Emerita of the School of Creative and Performing Arts at the University of Calgary. She is a scholarship recipient of the Mount Royal University Academy for Young Artists.
In the summer of 2022, Charlotte attended the Morningside Music Bridge program at the New England Conservatory. She studied with many teachers, including Arie Vardi, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, and Wha Kyung Byun. Charlotte has also had the opportunity to study with many other leading artists including Douglas Humphreys, Corey Hamm, Sasha Starcevich and Steven Hough.
Charlotte was one of the students in the 2023 Gina Bachauer International Piano Festival, Salt Lake City, USA. She attended The Talent Summer Master Courses and Festival in Brescia, Italy. She studied with Mr. Bernd Goetzke, a professor at the Hanover University of Music and Drama and performed Chopin Concerto No. 2 in F minor with the Artematica Organization leader of the Master Orchestra. In 2024, she performed alongside other talented young musicians at Canada’s Rising Stars 20th Anniversary Concert.
In 2024, Charlotte attended the CMC Gathering of the Stars in Québec and studied with Henry Kramer. She participated in the 2024 Art of Piano Festival in San Francisco. She was accepted by the Summer Music Academy in Bern, Switzerland, and studied with Professor Tomasz Herbut.
In addition to her music studies, Charlotte is an active member of the Back to Bach Foundation in the Calgary division where she regularly performs and educates young students at elementary schools. She is the organizer of the Capriccio International Young Artists organization, performing concerts for the community regularly. In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys doing multiple sports, such as swimming, and biking in the summer and downhill skiing in the winter.
