Eric Guo, born in Toronto, started piano at 4 years old. Currently a student of Prof. John O’Conor in 3rd Year Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance (Honours) at The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada.

He is top prize-winner of international competitions, including the PianoTexas Concerto Competition, Minnesota e-Piano, Hastings Concerto Competition, Moscow Chopin Competition and Canadian Chopin Competition. He was the sole recipient of the 2018 Canadian Chopin Scholarship and named one of the CBC 30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians Under 30.

Eric has performed at prestigious venues such as Salle Cortot and Bibliothèque Polonaise in Paris, Chopin’s Birthplace in Żelazowa Wolao Chopin Museum in Warsaw, Krzysztofory Palace of Krakow Museum, Merkin Concert Hall in New York (aired on WQXR), North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh USA, Koerner Hall, Harbourfront Theatre, Four Seasons Center, George Weston Recital Hall, McMaster LIVELab, and Regent Theatre.

He has appeared as soloist with numerous orchestras: Fort Worth Symphony, Minnesota Symphony, UK’s Royal Philharmonic, Russia’s Ural Youth Symphony, Italy’s Brescia Master Orchestra, Drummondville Symphony, the Ontario Philharmonic, and Orchestra Toronto.
He was given artist recitals at Paderewski Festival in Raleigh and Krakow Piano Summer. Participated in many festivals and courses, including Radziejowice, Italy’s Brescia, Italy’s Piano Academy Eppan, PianoTexas, Miami’s Frost Chopin, California’s Music@Menlo, Cincinnati’s Art of the Piano, Philadelphia’s Curtis Summerfest, Seattle Piano Institute, and Orford Musique.
