Winnie (Weitong) Geng

An energetic and friendly 10-year-old girl, Winnie (Weitong) Geng brings her vibrant personality into everything she does. She started playing the piano at age 5 in Vancouver. To support her musical pursuits, her family relocated from Vancouver to Toronto in 2023. Currently, she studies under Professor Langning Liu at the Royal Conservatory’s Phil and Eli Taylor Academy in the Junior Piano Program.

Winnie has participated in various music festivals, showcasing her commitment and dedication. These achievements include:
        •       2024 Special Award at Kaufman Music Center International Youth Piano Competition
        •       2024 North York Music Festival Age Achievement 9 & Under Piano
        •       2023 First Prize at the IPPA Conero International Piano Competition Final Round
        •       2023 Gold Award at the Steinway Piano Competition
        •       2021 Gold Award at the Vancouver International Music Competition
        •       2021 Crescendo International Music Competition First Place
        •       2020 Gold Stars at the Music and Star Classical Music Competition

 recognized as a Canadian Young Artist Standard of Excellence.

Winnie is passionate about charitable activities and has participated in numerous charity concerts, raising funds for Vancouver Children’s Hospital and children with autism. Through her actions, she hopes to help other children grow up healthy.

In addition to playing the piano, Winnie enjoys expressing her creativity through drawing, capturing the world around her with imagination and color. Outside of her artistic pursuits, she is an active tennis player, finding balance between the focus required in both sports and the arts. A curious and avid reader, she often gets lost in books, always eager to explore many subjects and ideas.
