Charlotte Florence Deng, born in 2013, is a bright and talented young musician with exceptional musical sensitivity and a deep passion for the arts. She has come to deeply appreciate that music is the true expression of the soul. Currently pursuing her piano studies under the guidance of Ms. Cindy Liu and Dr. Sun Sung Kong at KL Piano Academy, Charlotte has shown remarkable potential. Her performances, marked by natural artistry and emotional depth, have earned her recognition as a promising young pianist with a bright future.

Charlotte‘s accomplishments:

2019: Canadian Young Artist Standards of Excellence Award.

2020: 2nd place in Junior Division of the Steinway Piano Competition.

2021: 3rd place in the Pacific Rim International Competition.

2022: Gold Award at the Vancouver Youth Arts International Festival.

2023: Invited by pianist Ilana Vered to perform Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with a symphony orchestra in Italy.

2024: 1st place in Youth 10–12 Division of the Gustav Mahler Prize International Piano Competition and 1st place and Best Chopin Performance Award, presented by Professor Jerome Lowenthal in Vancouver International Music Festival ;2nd place and the Audience Favorite Award in Youth 10–13 Division at the 10th Seattle International Piano Competition and 2nd place in Professional Artist 13–17 Division of the VIVACE International Piano Competition；1st prize in the Global Outstanding Young Artists Piano Competition from 2022 to 2024； Performed Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the West Coast Symphony Orchestra and held first solo concert“Melodies in Bloom”.

Charlotte has been a dedicated pianist, cellist, and singer with the RDYO Youth Orchestra and the Vancouver Bach Choir for several years. Her exceptional performance at MusicFest Canada's 50th anniversary earned her recognition as one of the most talented young pianists. Additionally, she has founded a family chamber music trio.
